Payment Options

All prices listed are in Canadian dollars.  We accept PayPal (preferred) as well as money orders and certified checks.  Orders will ship on the Monday following payment being received and deposited by us.  Please notify us of your preferred payment method and we will send you details of where to send payment in your confirmation e-mail.  

Shipping Policies

At the moment we are only able to ship within Canada.  We are looking into what is involved in exporting to the states and hope to be able to do so in the near future.  All orders ship on Mondays, just in case there is some unforeseen delay by the post office it is less likely the fish will spend a weekend in transit.  All bettas are carefully packed in styrofoam shipping boxes ($10) and heat packs are included when necessary ($5).  We care about our bettas so we prefer not to ship in the dead of winter unless it is airport to airport.  Shipping is generally around $40, but you can get an exact quote from http://www.fedex.com by entering our postal code, S7N 1H6, in the "shipping from" line and your postal code in the "shipping to" line.  Enter "2 kgs", and "Fed Ex Box" in the required fields and then select "get quick quote".  We only ship overnight or 2 day so look at those quotes.  Remember these are only estimates, actual shipping costs may be lower or higher depending on how many fish are ordered. 

We guarantee live delivery on overnight or airport to airport shipments as long as someone is there to sign for them on the first delivery attempt.  In the unlikely event of a DOA we require a picture of the dead fish, in the unopened bag with a clear view of the fish and a clear view of the original seal.  Photo must be sent to us within two hours of the first delivery attempt, and guarantee covers cost of fish only, not the cost of shipping.

"Reserving" Bettas

Bettas listed in our stock shop are sold on a first-pay first-serve basis.  We understand that not everyone has PayPal so we allow for 2 business days from the time of e-mail to receive payment and will list fish as "on hold" for that time.  Bettas can be put on hold for up to 5 business days, but an immediate 20% non-refundable deposit is required.
